If you agonize on each status update you post on Facebook, you should know there’s a chance your digital whit and brilliance could someday earn you cash. The Verge reports Facebook is considering adding tools that would let individual users earn money in a variety of ways. Some Facebook users recently were sent a survey asking them to vote for a preferred method of making money; options included adding a virtual tip jar, earning money through branded content, a donation option that would let fans contribute to a charity of the user’s choosing, a “call to action” button, and more. A Facebook spokesperson wrote in an email to Time, “It’s still very early, but we’re committed to creating sustainable, long-term monetization models for our partners and we’re listening to feedback.”
